Zip Top is the best silicone lunch box. But a Stasher bag might do you better.

Zip Top’s reusable silicone containers are the best true silicone lunch boxes I’ve used.

They’re made from a single piece of platinum silicone with a zipper-style seal. No plastic frame, no metal clips — just squishy, food-grade stuff that folds flat when empty and pops back into shape. They’re leakproof enough for soup, dishwasher safe, and I’ve had one survive four years of daily abuse.

The trade-off is that you don’t get compartments. If you need a bento-style lunch, you’re better off pairing a couple of Stasher bags (for sandwich + fruit) and a Zip Top round (for the main dish). Or just throw a small silicone muffin cup inside as a divider. Don’t overthink it — the “zero-waste” goal is just to stop buying disposable bags and plastic clamshells, and these things do exactly that.

Also, silicone is tough but not immortal. When a Zip Top finally gives out, it’s 100% recyclable through their take-back program. That puts it a clear step above most plastic alternatives.

Your lunch won’t care what shape the container is — but your drawer space will.
