Adapt your resolution to the local clock.

The best way to maintain a resolution across time zones is to shift your habit to match the local time, not fight the jet lag.

Your resolution probably runs on a specific time of day — morning run, noon meditation, evening reading. That schedule breaks the second you land in a different zone. Trying to stick to your home clock (running at 3 PM when your body thinks it’s midnight) is a fast track to quitting.

Plan ahead. A few days before you leave, start shifting your habit window by 30–60 minutes each day toward your destination’s time. Your brain will adjust, and the habit stays anchored to a consistent local slot.

If you can’t pre-shift, give yourself a grace period. Day one: just do something, even if it’s at an odd hour. Day two: aim for the right time. Your resolution isn’t about the exact hour — it’s about the action.

One thing I’d add: don’t try to replicate your home routine perfectly. Travel adds variables. Lower the bar. A 10-minute workout beats skipping seven days.

The resolution is more important than the exact hour it happens.
