Smart home integration is even rarer. A handful of models from brands like Lasko or Holmes have Wi-Fi and work with Alexa or Google Assistant, but they’re not common in stores. You’ll mostly find them online, and reviews are mixed. The smart features feel tacked-on rather than designed in.

Honestly, if you want remote or voice control, you’re better off getting a dumb box fan and plugging it into a smart outlet. That way you get on/off control and scheduling for twenty bucks, and you can buy a fan that actually moves air well. If you need variable speed or oscillation control, then look at a tower fan or a pedestal fan—those have better smart options and better build quality.

If you absolutely must have a box fan with a remote, prepare to compromise on reliability.
